Taipei Nuit Blanche 2026 lasts twelve hours, 31 October 14:00 to 1 November 02:00, and the map is 圓山, not 信義. The Department of Cultural Affairs, the 內湖區公所 notice, and the city's major-event calendar all use the same clock and the same four clusters: 圓山自然景觀公園 on the old Children's Recreation Center lawn, 花博公園圓山園區, Tatung University, and the 晴光市場 streets. Official site: nuitblanche.taipei. Free. The 2026 title is NIGHT KA SHI 夜卡西, a nod to the old nakashi bands that used to work night markets, not a tribute concert.
Get off at 圓山 MRT, Red line, and pick a side. South of the station is 花博: 長廊廣場, the ring plaza, 爭艷館, 流行館. North and west is the old children's park lawn, which the major-event board lists as the 自然景觀公園. East toward 雙連 is 晴光, 雙城公園 and 撫順公園. Tatung University sits between. There is no official walking order. Culture Express said as much. If you try to hit every light you will spend the night in a crowd, not in an artwork.
Start at Yuanshan MRT, not City Hall
The same Saturday is the 24th Taiwan LGBT+ Pride on 市民廣場. Pride's market opens at 12:00, the parade leaves at 14:05, the stage ends at 18:40. Nuit Blanche opens at 14:00 and runs past 02:00. You can do Pride in daylight and Yuanshan after dinner. You cannot do both as one loop. The Red line between 市政府 and 圓山 will be ugly after 18:00. If Nuit Blanche is the point of the trip, skip the parade and arrive at Yuanshan before sunset, while the lawn still has daylight for 吳美琪's forest piece and the other outdoor works listed on the official programme.

Treat that as a menu, not a checklist. Pieces go up and down all night. A 10pm slot can be better than a 4pm slot for the light works, worse for anything in 晴光's narrow streets.
Where the crush actually forms
Past years jammed the 花博 long corridor and the station exits. 晴光 is tighter. If you want food, eat in 晴光 before 21:00, while kitchens are still treating this as a Saturday, not a festival. Convenience stores around 玉門街 run out of water. Bring a bottle. The old children's park lawn is the place people sit. It is also the place with the least shelter if the 31 October forecast turns wet.
Do not add 象山 after this. 攝手平台 is closed 17 September 2026 to 13 April 2027. A 1am taxi from Yuanshan to Xinyi for a closed deck is a waste. Getting home after 2am
Last regular MRT trains on a Saturday night are earlier than the festival. The city has put on extra late buses in some past editions. 2026 extra-bus notices were not on the homepage when we checked 16 October. Assume you need a taxi or a 24-hour bus after 01:00 unless the Department of Transportation posts a list. Yuanshan Road and 中山北路 will be slow. Walking south to 中山 or 雙連 for a cab rank is often faster than standing at the park gate.
Wear shoes you can stand in for four hours. The lawn is uneven. Toilets inside 花博 buildings get queues after 22:00. This is a civic night walk, not a ticketed concert. Leave the folding stool at home if you plan to move. Bring it if you plan to sit through one sound piece and leave.
