Family Travel Tips
Strollers & MRT
Taipei MRT stations have elevators and accessible routes. Stations are stroller-friendly, but escalators are common — elevators are usually at the end of platforms.
Zoo Timing
Arrive at Taipei Zoo at opening (9 AM) to see the pandas before crowds. The zoo is huge — prioritize the panda house, koalas, and tram ride if time is limited.
Gondola Weather
The Maokong Gondola closes in thunderstorms and high winds. Check the weather before heading out. Crystal cabins have longer lines but are worth the wait.
Kid-Friendly Food
Taiwanese food is generally mild. Kids usually love fried chicken, dumplings, rice dishes, and bubble tea. Convenience stores have familiar snacks too.
