Comic Expo Taipei 2026: 25th Anniversary At Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1
The 25th Comic Expo opens at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 on Thursday 23 July and runs through Monday 27 July 2026, daily 10:00 to 18:00, under the banner GO SHINE! With Dreams In Tow. Organised by the Chinese Animation and Comic Publishers Association, this is a milestone edition of Taiwan's largest integrated ACGE (anime, comic, game, entertainment) exhibition, co-located this year with the 8th Taiwan International Esports Industry Expo and the Taipei International Film Toy and Designer Toy Expo. A single ticket gets you into all three.
What A 25th Anniversary Comic Expo Looks Like
The anniversary is not just a number on a banner. The association has rolled out a "25th Anniversary Exclusive" programme, headlined by a limited-edition amulet-shaped EasyCard blind pack that crosses over with Taiwan original IP including CCC's Chui Man Taiwan serials and Spring Fish Creative's Vtuber roster. You collect the card by completing stamp tasks across 32 designated booths, which turns the expo floor into a scavenger hunt rather than a straight walk-through. The main mascot Manbo anchors a themed pavilion where anniversary merchandise is redeemed, and Kadokawa Taiwan is marking the occasion by releasing 15 first-sale special editions and over 100 limited IP items at its booth.
Japan Pavilion And The ICHIBAN JAPAN Line-Up
The Japan pavilion is the annual anchor for import fans. This year the ICHIBAN JAPAN hall brings 12 Japanese and Taiwanese idol groups under the TIF ASIA TOUR banner, plus a stage talk on 23 July by cosplayer Sakura and a limited first-100-person bonus meet. Other pavilion mainstays include Tongli, Kadokawa, SPP, Ching Win and EGManga, all running first-sale special editions and signature sessions across the five days. The fifth Original IP Wind Ranking awards, recognising Taiwan-made comics and novels, were announced on 14 July, with top honours going to Pay-To-Win Romance and Yangmingshan Female Police Station.
Signatures, Stages, And The Charity Blood Drive
Two stages run continuously through opening hours. Stage A hosts publisher presentations, live draws and idol performances; Stage B is the signature and meet-the-creator zone, where long queues form early for marquee names. For the first time, the expo has partnered with the Taipei Blood Donation Center: donate blood during the run and receive limited anime-themed merchandise, a move that reflects the association's 25th anniversary push to connect fan culture with civic participation. The Culture Coin programme for youth is accepted at participating booths, which lowers the entry cost for 13 to 22 year olds.
Getting In And Getting Around
Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center is directly above Taipei 101/World Trade Center MRT station on the red line, so the logistics are about as easy as Taipei exhibition-going gets. Tickets are sold through FamiTicket, KJE and ibon, with same-day sales at the door subject to capacity. The five-day run always peaks on the weekend, so if you want first-sale limited editions without an hour-long queue, the Thursday 23 July opening day is the calmest window. The expo is also running a NT$100 discount coupon valid at participating booths, so plan purchases accordingly.
