雪嶽山韓式料理 at Taipei 101
Location: B1樓, No. 45號, City Hall Rd, Xicun Village, Xinyi District, Taipei City, Taiwan 110
Taipei 101 Shopping center
The kitchen leans on familiar Korean dishes done consistently, with the pork-belly barbecue and the seafood-and-tofu stew the most-ordered. It is a reliable choice when you want a hearty, mid-priced meal inside the building that is not Japanese or Taiwanese.
Book ahead for weekend barbecue, which needs a table with a grill. The restaurant is a short walk from Taipei 101/World Trade Center MRT.

Came across this restaurant after visiting the Taipei 101 Observatory and thought to try it for dinner. …

Ordering is easy enough, you just wait in line until an empty seat is available. They put your meat on an already prepared bed of greens with tofu, and you pick 3 sides. The side options are your typical Korean side dishes. I found the kimchi to be pretty good, but the sprouts and tofu were very bland. Your meat cooks on a metal plate that has a reservoir on the outside for the greens and tofu to cook. Seating is extremely awkward if you're taller than the average person - my 6 ft 4 husband had to sit sideways at the bar because his legs didn't fit. There's also nowhere to put your bag while you eat, other than on the floor under your feet, which you may not even have room for if you're tall. The meal itself was bland. They only provide you with a simple soy/vinegar sauce. The broth they give you to cook your greens in the reservoir has some flavor, but it doesn't penetrate the food at all because of how quickly everything cooks. At Taipei 101, you're better off going to McDonald's than spending $300NTD here. This also isn't a place that is suitable for large groups. A group of 5 came and were very upset that they couldn't all be seated at once, because they only have one table that seats 2 people and the big bar in the center, and there's really no telling when people will be completely finished with their meals. One more thing, and this wasn't a complaint that I personally had, but my husband's tofu was frozen and did not cook fully before the broth was evaporated. We expected much higher quality than this for $300NTD.

Value for money barbecue and veg sets at NTD 338 each. We chose the beef, quite tough after cooking. Better to choose pork or chicken. Delicious soup and veg after stewing. So full and we didn't even finish the rice.
