Taipei 101's 2026 anniversary sale is already in the building. Golden Week ran 27 August to 2 September. The main window is 3 September to 11 October 2026. The mall opened the season with a two-day dessert party on 3 and 4 September, then settled into the usual card rebates, limited handbags and the annual collectible bear.
The sweet opening was branded SWEET TOGETHER with 500 甜. Ten visiting bakeries set up on 4F Urban Plaza for two days: Mingyuetang, creammm.t, En vie Pâtisserie, LIBRARY ANGTE, Miss V Bakery, 肥德蓮, Succade, UmmUmm Vegan Bakery, Brillante and LooL Canelé. Invitation-card holders got the limited pieces free. Walk-in shoppers could still buy regular items. That pop-up is over. The useful leftover is the mall's own "vertical dessert map."
Where to eat sweet inside the tower after the pop-up
Ten in-house counters already sit on 500 甜 lists. Din Tai Fung, Cheng Ji, Fujin Tree Taiwanese Cuisine & Champagne, A Joy, SALT & STONE, 85TD, Simple Kaffa, COVA, Xiaonanmen Douhua and Santong Han pastry. During the sale, a same-day single receipt of NT$1,000 from anywhere in the mall still enters the dessert wheel once. Prizes cited by the mall and ELLE Taiwan include a Cheng Ji -18 C caramel cheesecake discount, Simple Kaffa matcha-roll deals, Fujin Tree Shaoxing pudding vouchers and a buy-one-get-one on Santong taro lava pastries.
Floor notes that are actually useful this month: 4F COVA has Mid-Autumn boxes at 68% of list in some reports, with cakes and tarts at 88%. 88F Simple Kaffa has been running 10% off the matcha roll. Confirm the sticker at the counter. These are sale-period offers, not year-round prices.
The North Face bear, and the spend that unlocks it
The 23rd anniversary bear wears a yellow The North Face Nuptse puffer and beanie, a nod to Alex Honnold's free climb of the tower earlier in 2026. Members who spend NT$60,000 in one day can redeem one, limited to 2,000 pieces, once per member. From 9 September a mini red Nuptse bear joins the counter. That one needs NT$200,000 in a single day, limited to 1,000, and you choose one bear or the other, not both.
CTBC and the Taipei 101 co-branded card sit on top of that. The mall's own copy, repeated in ELLE, puts fashion and beauty at NT$300 back per NT$3,000, luxury at NT$800 per NT$8,000, and jewellery and watches at NT$1,800 per NT$30,000, with extra point back on the co-branded card. Headline "up to 13%" only happens if you stack the co-branded card on those thresholds. Bring the physical card. Foreign cards are usually outside the CTBC stack.
New shops that opened with the sale: Chow Tai Fook's concept store on 2F, Buccellati on 2F, a DELVAUX pop-up on 4F, and a rebuilt Montblanc flagship in the Neo 4.0 fit-out. Montblanc is selling the Extreme calfskin geometry bags early, plus a City Nib Au750 18K nib engraved with five Taipei towers. None of that is a reason to queue at opening if you only want a mooncake. It is a reason if you already planned a Xinyi shopping day.
Mall hours on the official site are Sunday to Thursday 11:00 to 21:30 and Friday, Saturday and holiday eves 11:00 to 22:00. Address is No. 45, City Hall Road, Xinyi. MRT Taipei 101 / World Trade Center, Red line. The observatory is a separate ticket and a separate queue. Sale rebates on the deck follow the beauty and fashion bucket, not jewellery.
